Credit Card Processing

HomeToys uses Direct Payment Solutions (DPS) to process all online credit card transactions. DPS have an excellent reputation in New Zealand for providing a completely secure and very straight-forward method of processing credit card payments. They currently process thousands of transactions a day for many popular sites such as TradeMe and Farmers, so have a perfect track record for security and reliability. Heres how the process works....

1/ You enter the products you want to purchase into the HomeToys shopping cart, then go through the checkout process and select VISA or Mastercard as the payment method.

2/ A confirmation screen is shown with all the products chosen, and the shipping charges and grand total is displayed. When you click on 'Save Order', the the order is saved and you are automatically redirected to the DPS secure server to enter the payment. This is done completely separately from the HomeToys site, so your sensitive credit card details are never divulged to HomeToys staff. The DPS site where you enter your credit card details uses dedicated secure server, encrypted using 128bit encryption - this means it is virtually impossible to intercept your credit card details. You can verify that the site is secure by checking the URL - secure sites start with 'https://' instead of the normal 'http://', and also the Browser will usually have a padlock displayed somewhere as an indication of a secure site. With Internet Explorer the padlock is towards the bottom right of the screen and looks like this.

3/ After you enter your card details and click submit, the payment is verified as approved or declined immediately, and when you click next you are sent back to the HomeToys site, which will show you confirmation of the payment and give you an authorisation number.

4/ Sit back and wait for your new toys to arrive!
